The
Mountain Sharks Dive Club was formed in August of
2005. A group of avid divers got together and
formed the
Club
to help promote SCUBA diving in Missoula, Bitterroot
Valley
and surrounding areas. The idea was to
bring the dive
community
together through diving and non-diving functions
with
the hope of perpetuating the sport. The
interest
in
the club and the support from area divers has been very
good. We are always trying to recruit new members
so the club will grow and prosper.
Montana has a very short dive season and it is very difficult to dive
year round. The area lakes and rivers
provide some really nice local diving.
One of the clubs objectives is to provide information about the divers
with information about dive locations in our area. Also to have a comprehensive buddy list so we
will always have a buddy to dive with and no excuses not to go diving. We all have one thing in common, exploring
all the wonderful places, beautiful and sometimes mysterious creatures and all
the other things that live and are found under the water. The possibilities are endless, let’s do it
together. With the help pf the Mountain
Sharks Dive Club we can make this possible land fun for everyone. LET”S GET WET.
